Brainifique (“we”, “us”, “our”) is a children’s STEM education club operated by Georgina and Peter Kiss.

We organize hands-on science workshops for children aged 8–14 in Lausanne, Vaud, and surrounding areas.

 

2. Scope

 

This Privacy Policy applies to personal data collected via:

  • Registration forms (online & paper)
  • Email, phone, and in-person communications
  • Photos/videos taken during workshops (with consent)

We never collect data on religion, ethnicity, or political opinions.

 

4. How We Collect Data

 

  • Directly from you: Online registration, paper forms at venue.

  • Automatically: Google Analytics (anonymized), 

  • With consent: Photos/videos via signed media release form.

 

5. Data Storage & Security

 

  • Hosted in Switzerland (Infomaniak, Lausanne) or EU (ISO 27001-certified).
  • Encrypted at rest (AES-256) and in transit (TLS 1.3).
  • Access limited to authorized staff (2FA + role-based).
  • Retention:

                    - Child/parent data: 1 year after last workshop (or until withdrawal).

                    - Photos (with consent): 2 years or until consent revoked.

                    - Accounting: 10 years (Swiss law).

           

6. Sharing Data

 

We do not sell personal data. We share only:

  • Lodge a complaint with the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC): www.edoeb.admin.ch

8. Children’s Privacy

 

We do not knowingly collect data from children under 16 without parental consent.

All forms require a parent/guardian signature or digital checkbox.
