Meet Gina and Peter

 

Welcome to Brainifique—where curiosity fuels innovation for young minds across Lausanne and the Vaud region.

We’re a family-run STEM workshop offering hands-on, creativity-packed sessions that blend science, technology, engineering, and math with real-world wonder. Inspired by KiwiCo’s “build-your-own” magic, our Saturday workshops (morning or afternoon) are capped at just 10 kids, ensuring every child has the space—and support—to explore, experiment, and excel.

 

Our story begins at home, with our own high-potential child. After years of homeschooling and nurturing a brilliant young mind who completed high-school-level math, physics, and chemistry by the age of 10, we learned firsthand what meaningful, personalized learning can unlock. As expats in Switzerland with New Zealand and Hungarian roots—and as avid world travelers—we explored every educational path imaginable: international and community schools, online gifted programs, summer intensives, and more across three different countries.

 

Brainifique was born from these experiences—our homeschool laboratory—and from a deep desire to share what truly works.

 

We’re not just parents; we’re educators at heart. With backgrounds in teaching and curriculum design, we’ve created workshops that adapt to each child’s pace, using proven approaches like inquiry-based learning and maker education. Our sessions are anything but cookie-cutter—they burst with solar-powered builds, bio-luminescent experiments, coding challenges, and projects that reflect real innovation.

 

Behind the scenes, we bring unique professional flair.

Peter, with over 20 years in the film industry as a VFX CG and Lighting Supervisor, has contributed to blockbuster productions such as Avatar: Fire and Ash at Weta FX and multiple Academy Award–winning films including The Hobbit series. His expertise naturally flows into our workshops—think coding-based digital storytelling or kid-friendly physics simulations inspired by movie magic. It’s Hollywood creativity meets hands-on science, showing kids how their ideas can power the worlds they imagine.

 

I’m Georgina, the driving force behind Brainifique. My background as a certified personal trainer shapes our energetic, structured sessions that build confidence and resilience alongside STEM skills. Years of coaching women around the world taught me how to motivate diverse groups—and now I bring that same encouragement to young creators. I’ve also volunteered at a forest school in England and worked with children throughout my university years in London, where I perfected my English and finance studies.

 

Together, we’ve homeschooled our son through milestones (early A-levels!) and meaningful growth, proving that personalized STEM education isn’t just effective—it’s transformative. Our family has always been hungry for learning, exploration, and the “why” behind the world around us.

 

At Brainifique, we’re paying that curiosity forward to families across Vaud.
